INTERGRAL EXPONENTS

What it means to square a number is to multiply a number by it self two times like 5x5.To cube a number is to multiply a number by it self more than three times such as 7x7x7

UNLIKE TERMS

x^2 is different than x^2. It is different because they are not like terms and the x doesn't an exponent next to it .We can combine terms that have the same exponent. We can combine them because they have the same exponent and that makes it a like term. Some things you can remember to do when we add and subtract integers is when the positive is bigger than the negative your answer will be positive an when the negative is bigger than the positive than your answer will be positive.A coefficient is the number before the exponent and variable.

Like Terms

MY definition of a like term is an algebraic expression or term that has the same variables that raised to the same power .one hundred p and three hundred p are like terms because they both have the same variables and for that reason you can combine them . p and p^2 are the same because p^2 is just getting multiplied by it's self and can change like one times so you can not combine it.We can not combine two d and two f because they both have different variables so it can't be alike so we can't combine them . I think a perimeter is a side of a shape added together .A expression is a problem with out a equal sigh .
