Transformations-Translations

When looking at two figures I know which shape has the transformation by looking at the shapes plotted points for example A,B,C,D are the plotted points then there will be another set of points like A',B',C',D', the plotted points with the comma are the plotted points with the transformation.Words I could use to describe a translation is transform and change .The new transformed points are called prime points.A new translated figure will never change shape because a translation is changing a shapes location. You can translate a figure whit out a coordinate by using the plotted points to help you change the shape for example if you have a triangle and the plotted points are (3,7) - (2,4) - (5,5) and in the problem it says to move the figure 2 units to the left or right all you do is add 2 units to the x-axis and then your figure will change to (5,7) - (4,4) - (7,5).
